Hi all,
Here's my latest 1:32 scale model, the 11th from my stash.
It's the Planet Model DFW T28 'Floh' (Flea) and is my first resin kit build.
This 1915 designed aircraft never made it passed the prototype stage - REALLY!!
I felt the need to correct or modify quite a lot during the build and it's all covered in the build log, along with a brief aircraft history. The build log can be viewed or downloaded from here:

http://igavh2.xara.hosting/index.htm

The basic colour scheme for this aircraft was very light and lacking in character. Although as a prototype

only it wouldn't have flown much, I decided to 'weather' it up more like an operational aircraft. I also animated the flying control surfaces, again to 'liven' it up.
There is very little data and only a few photo's of this aircraft, but one shows a civilian figure sat on the starboard lower wing and who could have been one of the two senior designers, so I adapted a figure from MiniArt and also added a mechanic from Model Kasten.
The rigging is 0.12 mm mono-filament with GasPatch turnbuckles.

I'm now working on the MicroMir Fokker E.V with Aviattic lozenge decals, Roden engine and Pheon decal markings.

One could easily expect Bugs Bunny to be flying it. Nice job with the model!

Apparently it's in poor taste to tell leaving customers "Thanks for coming."

That's a fantastic model, Sandbagger! Nice job! I can't imagine take offs and landings would be easy with that kind of forward visibility.

One can almost hear what the pilot (?) is thinking about the design. biggrin

Your models are always true works of art, Sandbagger.

.

Another stellar model Sandbagger, you are a true artist and craftsman when it comes to these. You make the Flea look outstandingly good, even with its utterly ridiculous design. Well done!

Love it. I always look forward to a Sandbagger build. Uh, Capt. Sopwith, what forward visibility would you be referring to? I'd have to carry a rope with a weight on it and when I felt it drag, I'd cut the throttle! Looks like something Dastardly and Muttley would be flying around in!

Mighty nice build!

Hi JJJ65,
I'm attempting to build every WW1 aircraft there is on the market and thus far have a built 11 models from Wingnut Wings, Roden, Special Hobby and Planet Models.
This one was a resin kit, which I thought I'd have a go at.
Currently I still have 50 to do, although that includes 8 different versions of 5 aircraft types, 1 modern fighter and 3 'spare' models (doubles).
That said I have two more on pre-order for release before the year is out.

The trouble is for each model I complete, it's usually been replaced with another purchase!!!
