I just recently installed COD with the latest Team Fusion mod and I just have a quick question concerning the multiplayer.

Is the dedicated server option the only way to host MP games or does the "direct connect" option work? I ask because I created a server last night and my friend could not see it in the browser list and he also tried using the "direct connect" option with my IP address and that also failed.

Thanks in advance.

Ok so it seems like you have to create a lobby first and then from there you can start a peer to peer server.

Think the more "easy" way to connect in casual server is launch then through the LOBBY function in game menu, since CloD is dependent of STEAM.

How do - in awkward "Warbirds Online style old fashion" way - COOP connection.

The thing work, but you need adapt and completely forget the IL2:46 straight forward and easy connection way - like developers did for CloD and other IlL-2. smile

Thank you Sokol for clearing that up...Been busy with BAT and IL-2 ,,I think it's time to give CLOD an on line try..That makes it simpiler

If you have a mission set up correctly in your own game, you can load a lobby using a multiplayer/dogfight game as host. Dogfight mode works fine and includes most of the same features as the old Il2 46 co-op mode. The only thing really missing is the ability to lead a flight of AI and give them orders.
