If beauty directly translated into lethality, Flankers would be the deadliest planes in the sky.

I'm going to be trying all the wonderful liveries available with each training/practice flight, so will post some more of nice different blue Flankers... so far I like that simple light and mid blue pattern in the second pic above. Anyone else feel free to add pics of Flankers! And from other Sims too!

Ok, a bit of nostalgia...

Su-33 "Flanker-D" back from Flanker 2.5! Back when we could fly around the Crimea...

My 2.5 CTD making it unfplayable. How I miss the advanced A-G radar and A-G features of the Su-33 there.

-Sir in case of retreat, were we have to retreat??

Man, I totally forgot about that! Wonder why it wasn't carried over to DCS, also including Kh-29TE, Kh-29L etc... Wonder if the updated Su-33 will have all this?

Here is a bit of a gunfight sequence - a nice three tone light grey, light and mid blue scheme of a Flanker from the 3rd Mixed Aviation Regiment (Krymsk AB) https://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/files/1719414/

What version of DCS are you using? Why is the terrain in those shots quite flat? I'm not sure if they're supposed to be houses on the first shot or if they're fields, but on the second shot, there are areas that clearly appear to be forests/trees but those still look very flat

It's 1.5.7 with Barthek's Ground Texture Mod 10.

The flat area is in the NE of the AO and the very flat area in the second image with the baoundary of the fields then nothing is just the edge of the map...

It's from 10 000m altitude (33 000 ft) and they are fields during summer time..

Thanks! Maybe it's the altitude? Second pic shows areas where there is greenery so I assume trees.... but they still look flat.

No, I didn't mean the actual terrain elevation, I meant flat as in "even the trees do not look 3D but just look like textures on the ground" flat.
