So I got curious to see if Orbiter would accurately depict the solar eclipse this past Monday, and it turns out it certainly does. I had a friend see it in Fairmont, NE (in the path of totality), so I placed the DG at the coordinates of the town and oriented it due east. Turns out the time of totality in Orbiter matched the time my friend gave me for totality in real life. Pretty cool a sim can do this. Here's a little vid I made of it:

Very cool, Orbiter's a great little sim. Though I often forget it even exists. I suppose the location of the moon and sun is pretty 'easy' to program being so predictable.
Thanks for posting.
This is Bobby Rahal, thanks for playing the trial version of Microsoft's CART Precision Racing
