His movies weren't my cup of tea, but what a great guy for his work with the kids. The news said he raised over 2 billion dollars for his charity during his life. That's amazing and a heck of a legacy.

For raising over $2 billion for Muscular Dystrophy makes the guy a legend in my eyes.

Jerry was something else - he gave us so much laughter, so much entertainment and through his fund raisers and charity gave even more. A remarkable person .... surely a "one of kind"

+1 Haggart.
I can't remember the name of the movie but there was a movie he did that was set during WWII where he was somehow responsible for losing a USN destroyer and so the government made him pay for it. LOL Funny movie. Don't Give Up the Ship (1959): http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0052749/John Paul Steckler was the Junior Officer aboard a destroyer when WWII ended. He gets stuck with the job of sailing the ship to the states to be decommissioned. Now years later, no one knows where the ship is. He has a choice. Find the ship, or pay for it, Now! If only Prudence, to whom he just got married, could understand why he isn't there for his Honeymoon. Wheels

I hope that somehow, somewhere, he and Dean Martin are young and laughing together again.
What kind of car is that? What does it matter? When I drive it, I'm Steve McQueen
