the fastest way to find out anything about him is to check his FAA records - he owns 1 or 2 aircraft. if anything has happened to him the registrations will likely have a change or (worst case scenario) you'll be able to find incident or accident reports if he had a crash.
i did a quick web search but it appears he's still running his cub business and there was a house address listed connected with his business. try giving him a call?

slightly troubling news, his FAA registration for this aircraft also expired in 2013. i have a kind of sinking feeling about this.
