I'm not sure if this is the right place for this request, but could someone help me to change how the zoom works. Before the right mouse click zoom feature was added I had programmed two buttons on my throttle to function as the zoom out/zoom in function and it worked great for me. Now I'm not going to use the 'H' word, but I strongly dislike the mouse view zoom function and I would love it if someone could help me restore the zoom function before the upgrade. Thanks in advance for any help that's offered.

I think this was part of an upgrade in March 2017. In addition to adding mouse look/zoom functions it also added headshake, which I don't care for. I use Robert Wiggins' "WOFF UE custom settings for the d3d8.dll file" mod to efficiently edit the d3d8.ini file and eliminate head shake. You ought to give this mod a try.

Thanks, I give that a try.

Edit: Actually, I like the head bob, but I really don't like having to use the mouse to zoom. Do you think Robert's mod could keep the head bob and allow me to edit the mouse zoom?

Sure. The .ini file contains around 20 separate lines of coding for different effects (one for head shake, one for mouse look on/off, one for zoom speed, etc). Just edit whichever one(s) you want.

It's not required that you use the mod to make the changes that you want. All you need to do is edit the d3d8.ini file in the game. However, using the mod to do this is beneficial because then you can use JSGME to enable or disable the edits that you've made with one click.

All mods need to be removed before installing updates. If you use Robert's mod this can be accomplished with one click. Without the mod, you would have to remember to change everything back to the default settings before installing the upgrade and then remember to re-edit them back to your preferences afterwards. I hope this makes sense.
