Wonder if something can be done by OBD so that the Anti Virus software(Norton) doesn't kick in.
- wofftoolbox.exe was recognized as Trojan.Gen
and
- wingsoverflandersfieldsue_patchv4.15.exe was recognized as WS.Reputation.1
Added them as exceptions so that the AV software leaves them alone but I wonder why that happened, all other stuff had installed just fine, that the patch and that EXE files make problems seems strange.

You need to report it as a false positive to the AV companies. Basically one or two AVs think they find something based on a few characters that looks similar to some characters in a Virus. That gets circulated and before you know it 10 virus killers also think it has a virus.

Also people who saw this false positive may report it as a virus and so it goes.

We contacted several AV companies and they fixed it by removing the false positive butr many others continue to use the incorrect info. Please report is as a false positive - if everyone does it should eventually go away.

Why not buy a cheap $50,- 124Gb SSD disk and do make an only for WoFF boot. After installing windows, updating all the drivers, all the network connections can be removed, so do the virus scan software and other not needed tools/apps like windows store.

A Woff life time of trouble free gaming will occur to you!!

That seems a bit overdone, I ran the AV software on the WOFF installation and it didn't trigger on any other files. I think reporting these 2 incidents is less trouble and foremost will benefit all users of WOFF & Norton AV.

It is not only that, while installing woff on an dedicated boot you will also have other benefits, that are positive on your game performance.

I already have OS and WOFF running on a SSD so there seems no benefit from doing another SSD exclusive with OS & WOFF. It may be so if I let everything out and only install necessary drivers, do not patch the OS, etc. but who knows what troubles come with it.
Besides this things can already be done within a normal system, I could disconnect from the Web and turn off the AV software just like I could stop other background tasks in case I ever see performance problems.
Not sure how spread performance problems are, I at least don't see any sticky thread regarding performance.
But speaking of performance is there a WOFF benchmark I could do too see how good the performance is?

OK AV company reported back and they have corrected the detection for WingsOverFlandersFieldsUE_PatchV4.15.exe and WOFFToolBox.exe.
