It will be interesting to see what kind of reception this movie gets at the box office. There's no doubt that Nolan took a very big risk.

lol. That is such an utterly absurd argument from those people that all I can really do is just laugh. Anyway, they can just simply choose not to watch the movie but that's not good enough for those extremists.

Meh, it's some random nutjob blog commenting on random nutjob twitter users. Hardly worth getting snowflake-y over either way.

History is history. You have to accept it and move on, learning from it. Disgust and disbelief shows you're a different society now and that's a good thing. Ignorance saying it didn't happen isn't good, but you can't win 'em all. There's no country in the world with a squeaky clean history, we all have our moments, for the better and for the worse.

True but some countries have a dark past that is 100x worse than what other countries have.

I can't wait to see it. Some feel it is racist and sexist
I thought the Nazis were the racists in this scenario.....
I don't think there were many Negros (am I allowed to use that term in historical context?) in the army, but quite a few in both branches of the Navy at the time.
I wonder if amongst the French troops recovered there was a Colonial element perhaps. There was in the French rearguard who sacrificed their lives or freedom defending the evacuation. 40k British troops captured, 11k M.I.A believed killed.

To put that 11k killed in perspective, that is almost double the losses of the US armed forces in Afghanistan and Iraq combined from 2001 through 2016
