I am always amazed in how hot my wife takes her showers in the summer, you can't walk in and see anything because it's so steamy. My youngest is the same way. In the winter I'll have it warm, but still not hot because it just makes my skin itch in the dry air, but in the summer I'm usually showing to cool down so my showers are mostly in cold water. In the morning it will be luke warm at best.

Hot, Warm or cold?

I take warm showers. I don't think I could ever live in a third world country where stone cold showers are the norm!

Warm. Mine also takes super hot steam showers, enough to fog my glasses when I walk into the bathroom. House has two water heaters (bathrooms and kitchen/laundry) and still she'll occasionally use up all the hot water, have to remind her if I'm in line to shower to save me some. Shared showers still happen, but it's a compromise (like with the thermostat).

I had a girlfriend who was from India who grew up in some pretty rough circumstances.

She absolutely would not waste water, so she'd get in the shower with her body in front of the nozzle and turn it on - completely stone cold at first. She'd set it hot, and get a few minutes of that in after it warmed up, but that first part was CRAZY. And she was a thin girl too!

My wife does the hot hot hot shower thing also. I never understood why. For me warm and finish with cold.

Too many hot showers during long Michigan winters can make your skin so dry it drives you nuts.

More recently I've been making an effort to shave at least every other day, and I shave by scraping an electric razor over my entire head (except goatee). Then when I turn on the shower water, it burns. The cooler the water the better, until I get use to it.

Warm shower, but the older I get, I find I also have to warm up the bathroom first.

I do it all. Well, in the cold of winter I guess pretty hot exclusively, but anytime else it could be anything.

Usually in the heat of summer more on the cool side, but if I'm really filthy (or sore) I might go cool/hot/cool.

Regardless of anything about twice a month I'll do a super hot half hour "super scrub" - literally with a scrub brush, washing and rinsing 3 or 4 times.

42 degrees C. Controlled by my water temperature controller.

40deg or a bit lower on very hot days.

I've been taking baths for the last few years. Fairly hot. The pressure from our shower head is to week for my liking. Winston Churchill always took baths, he said "why stand up when you can sit down ?" I also recall he used a thermometer to get the pefect temperature.

Let me guess. She's always cold and you're always hot?

Philippines / North East UK
Back home, after a sweaty day, I look forward to having a cool shower to rinse off all the dirt and grime and sweat.... most houses in the Philippines have no way to adjust water temperature anyway and as the underground pipes are cooler than the outside temperature, most showers are with cool water. A few fancier houses and hotels have water heaters so that the water isn't so cold when you take a bath at 6am, but I liked the cold water shower to wake me up in the morning as well. Maybe that's why I never was a coffee person.

Here in the UK, it's warm showers all the time. Nice and relaxing and I used to have it quite warm.... but my hair is thinning on the top now and nobody in my dad's family is bald or is thinning so the wife's theory is that the warm/hot water is causing it, so now my showers are just a little warm. Makes me spend less time in the shower too.

Isn't it warm in Florida?

Hot! Steamy showers are good for sinus issues, relaxing muscles before going to bed and helping me sleep in general.
If it's a super hot day, I still start hot, but slowly turn all the way cold by the end.
Plus, hot =clean in my mind.

Man, that is just classic good TV.
