OldHat, Did you model this or modify something existing? I've been wanting to do this forever but was unsure how to go about the process for bringing it into WOFF. If you have time in the near future sir, I'd love to pick your brain! I'm fairly tech savvy !

Sure thing, guys. I'd be glad to share the love. However, I didn't make these from scratch, therefore, I'm waiting on permission to use the models from other Modders.

So, hang tight and by the time Robert and Shred are able to help with the fm and I can test it out, then I'll probably hear back from the modders at some point.

When I wake up it's too early for questions like this, but the answer to this one is easy: It's Alice without makeup.
Now back to the originally scheduled program. Thank you Gentlemen for your efforts. Hope OBD can make an add-on out of it!

Thanks for the wishes Jenks. Cake? Well, I much prefer pies but candles really don't work well on those, so I guess I will have to bite the cake instead! biggrin

Old Hat and Robert,

I also have some experience playing around with the .xfm files, so I may also be able to help out. The only problem is that I am fairly swamped right now with work, cloud mod, etc. so I don't know when I might be able to do much on my own at the moment. However, I would be more than willing to help with testing, feedback, and suggestions as time permits.

One question: since we don't have access to .cfg and .air files anymore, how do you control parasitic drag, for example? Perhaps Shredward or Polvoski can help out in that regard?

Good to know you have some expertise with .xfm files. I will probably PM you later.
On the matter of cfg and air files Iconcur with you. We shall see how far we can get.

Cheers

In theory, there is no difference between theory and practice. But in practice, there is.

I have them both. I can add the pilot, But I don't know how to get the prop to spin like I did with the bullet.
I'm trying to figure that piece out since I have the model for static, slow and fast props.

Another issue I'm trying to resolve is how to change into the cockpit view with the correct cockpit model I already have. Seems that it's not switching models when I want to move from external view to cockpit view.

Also, I'm struggling with getting some of the skins to correctly display on the plane. This is way beyond me and will probably need someone more experienced in skinning.

Other than that, it's ok for external screenshots until I get the FMs.

I imagine if we truely want our own select plane MODs, its going to need a team effort from the community with the skills to make it really happen.
