I say, lieutenant, that's a nice idea, come back and see me once you've made the plane invisible, too...

The older I get, the more I realize I don't need to be Han, Luke or Leia. I'm just happy to be rebel scum...

Sorry, it's not meant to tease, this was a fun experiment I always wanted to try. So, I've managed to get it to fly inside WOFF, but with the Morane L's flight mechanics. Still trying to figure things out myself here as well.

Skinning was a pain and seems wrong, looks like a ball of wires with wings and flys terrible. Must be a Farman.

Man, that is beautiful! Even though I know it is a WIP, I always thought it would be wonderful to have these earlier planes available for training purposes (or even a 1914 [!] campaign). I feel that your work is a possible first step, but I'm also quite aware of the huge amount of work it takes to make it happen...still, a static Farman placed at Sutton's Farm (or other British aerodromes) would be a wonderful touch!

Regards,

Jeff

I agree and changed my mind about the Farman. In fact, I started to put together the longhorn and I kindda enjoyed it. So much that I adjusted all the wires n' stuff to make sure it looks about right. Wow! what a sight at early sunrise to see all those wire and strut shadows on the cockpit. Even without the prop animation, it looks awesome and the video doesn't do it enough justice. Anyone have a few hours to spare to work on its flight model "xfm file"? -doesn't need to be perfect, just want to see the outcome in WOFF.

OldHat;

The creation of the ".xfm" files for an aircraft are relatively simple. It's the collection of relevant data pertaining to the aircraft that is the heavier task.
I have messed with these ".xfm" files and have some familiarity with them. I could help you if you have the necessary historical data to feed into the file.

PM me if you wish to dialogue on the process

Best Regards;

I appreciate the assistance guys and I'll take both offers to help with this project.

Shred and Robert, I'd like to start with the longhorn to complement my training missions and see how things work out. Also, now I really like the MF.7 for some strange reason. Robert, once you are able to get the fm ready, I'd be glad to test it out and we can continue via PM for sure.
