After hiking Mt Chocorua NH this past March, I decided I wanted to do winter ascents of some ME & NH 4K footers this coming winter. The first & foremost piece of gear I needed for that were mountaineering boots. Today I headed to a store in N. Conway NH called International Mountain Equipment, and after spending an hour or so in there walked out with a pair of Asolo Alta Via GV. I've never had boots feel so comfortable from the instant I put them on as these did, and they're very easy to walk in thanks to the rocker. Once fall gets here I'll pick up crampons & an ice axe, and hopefully have as many pic-worthy trips to share here as my crazy winter work schedule will allow.
