As it is now, all WOFF planes takeoff like WW2 planes did - start the engine, push the throttle forward to gain speed and lift off.

So, the ideal way is to takeoff from stationary with full throttle & into the wind in less than 50 yards:

1. Note the wind direction on the debrief screen
2. Switch your throttle to FULL on.
3. Press "E" to start the engine (manual start is still not working for me)
4. Use the blip switch to taxi and position the aircraft to take off into the wind

Other engine types without blips are a bit tricky to simulate since there's no one to hold the plane back or wheel chocks. So, for now, I don't have a plan for these types of engines - maybe if I can add "brakes" to the controls in lieu of the chocks.

I just read your above notation and wondered if I missed any previous posts on this. I do agree with you but full throttle makes it difficult to hold on the line, even with the blip. I usually do it with half throttle. Just thought I would add my thoughts.
