Hello, all.

I am trying to track down either a small bug, a problem with my installation, or something I may have messed up whilst in the middle of modding. The question is this: Do you ever start your campaign mission with snow coming down out of the sky? It will frequently start snowing for me in the middle of a mission, but never at the beginning. I see rain at the start of a mission just fine, but never snow. Anyone else, or is this just my imagination? Thanks.

Okay, it mostly just seems to be me. I get snow frequently at some point during my mission, but never at the start of a mission while I am sitting at the aerodrome. Weird.

I got snow at the beginning of a mission on 28 Dec 1917 I got it again on 2 Feb 1918. I don't know what would have happened between these two dates because David Peterson from the Lafayette Esc. handed me my a## and I was in the hospital for quite a spell.

It's not a weather on off thing like in most other games. In WOFF weather is variable during the mission, it's quite possible to start without snow/rain and during the flight running into snow/rain and vice versa. Or raining all the time or not running into it at all. Also it depends on how overcast the day is etc. If completely dull weather, chance is it's going to be rain/snow all the time. If it's somewhat bad, but changeable etc. you may have snow or not, or only in certain areas, like in RL.

Yes, I am aware of this and it works very well, for the most part. My problem, and it is entirely likely that it is my own fault, is that I NEVER see snow at the start of a mission. Keep in mind that I do a lot of testing for my cloud mod, so I have literally started hundreds of missions and no snow at the start of ANY of them. So, there is something that I have probably messed up. As long as it isn't affecting anyone else using my cloud mod, I am not worried about it.

My sister-in-law is currently visiting Croatia with her mother, who immigrated from there after the war. Say hello to her if you see her!

Problem solved! I am now getting snowfall at the start of some missions. As usual, the problem was user error.

Thanks to all who answered the survey!
