I'm not sure if this is common knowledge among SimHQ historical naval warfare aficionados, but I sometimes get missions orders telling me that my targets will be somewhere around GIUK. My eyesight ain't what it used to be so I'm looking all over the Cold Waters map and I don't see a place called "GIUK." So I Google it and this is what is being referred to:

As you can see in the map, it's "GIUK", as in" Greenland - Iceland - UK". Technically that's two gaps.

There are other missions that explicitely reference to the "Denmark Strait", so maybe in game terms, when it talks about GIUK, it might just be IUK Pffahhh.... My first mission in "Denmark Strait" I peeled out of port at full speed towards the Baltic....
