There is a big Arma 3 update that everyone will need to download. 6.5 GB. for me, it could be less depending on the DLC's you have.
If you want to play Saturday and have a less than speedy connection speed, you may want to start now ...

Game Update 1.72 (Malden DLC, Combat Patrol, Flight Model Tweaks)
SIZE: 6.5 GB / 1.1 GB (depends on Apex ownership)

The Karl Malden DLC? Is it set in San Francisco?

Haha! For some reason, whenever I hear the map name, I tend think of Karl Malden.

I'll grab this tonight.

Yes, in the streets. I can hardly wait for the M. Douglas DLC.

#%&*$# map, but not as #%&*$# as the one I paid for (Apex). Lazy bastards make a sea based map, but can't get basic boat functionality working in time. So half the map is literally useless. Steam won't refund me either...

Not worth your time. I've just about had it with this $hitty developer and their $hitty games. Complete scum bags if I've ever seen any. They have to divert attention away with a half assed remake of an old map just so people don't get upset with all the bugs.

Copy / paste:

As the title says, the game does not allow the player to use artillery after they switch to another unit, or after they die and switch to another unit. I've synched the artillery to every single controllable unit in the game. But that does not help, because as soon as I switch to another unit or die I can no longer view it under the "Supports" area.

I'm not sure why something so simple cannot be accomplished in any insightful way, and not a single search result or tutorial on youtube can bring up something useful.

I've even made unique support provider / requesters for each and every unit previously, which did nothing. To say I'm #%&*$# pissed at how difficult it is to do such a simple function would be putting it lightly. Three games, dozens of DLCs later, and something so simple and remedial is obscenely hard to accomplish in this game.

Yes, something this simple is a f****** pain in the ass with BI. The most remedial, basic features you can ask for in a mission. And this is the nonsense they pull? And their lazy moderators just move threads to obscure areas of the forum where no one visits. Because like BI themselves, they're lazy and want to brush any shortcomings to the side. So everything goes unanswered, BI does not fix anything, and we will get some more s***** zombie DLC, more futuristic trash, and other nonsense and then they'll screw us over with a new game that doesn't fix anything. And we will have to wait another 3+ years for mods to get back where we started. I've wasted two hours trying to fix this trash because there is no way (or no logical way) to do this. At this point why even bother? The game is a damn Rambo simulator where you slay hundreds of dumb enemies and that is all BI will ever strive for. Forget about calling in artillery or anything semi tactical or fun. That is too complex for these guys, so have fun spawning and killing the same dumb guys we've killed over the past three games now. Only so many times you can do that #%&*$# before it gets old.

Thanks for the link to the vid. I've travelled around Malden. There are some pretty cool areas.

I'm working on a WW2 mission on Malden for our SimHQ play session this Saturday. Hopefully I get it done in time.
