I'm new to RoF and wanted to give myself a quick flight to get a look.
My system is pretty beefy i7 6700, nVidia 980ti, 32Gig RAM so I set things up with high/med settings.

Shortly after I started the mission, I'd look around in TrackIR normally for a few seconds, then the view would lag behind and make it unplayable. Even trying to Escape out, the mouse arrow would lag.

Any ideas?

Are you on a laptop or a system with integrated video card as well as the real one? Sometimes the real one doesn't switch on.

No, a full computer.
And I've never had my card not kick in with any other sims. Is that normal with RoF?

I did more searching and came to an old thread from 2013 that lists several areas that could make it run as I described.
