I thought something was wrong when I came in for landing after a sortie where I took some light ground fire...

You wanted to go and buy those cheap retread tires...you got what you deserve.

I think I raised the gear back up and opted for a belly landing on that one...

Vienna, 2nd rock left.
LOL, you're going to have three green and locked on the panel and then it's a nasty surprise as the mains burrow into the runway...

Looks fun.

What terrain mod do use ?

I have stock install now, all terrains mods so far are not so good for VR use. I cant spot Tank's and trucks , mustangs mod was very good look but cut my spotting distance half.

I can spot tank from 2-3nm out in stock A-10A quiqk start mission when using Oculus rift ( , monitor will give 4-5nm easily.)

Groun textures make huge diffrence in VR

Thanks.

I use Barthek's GTM 10

You can try it from here: http://www.lockonfiles.com/files/file/3388-bartheks-gtm-10/

I'd be interested to hear how you go with it in VR, please report back if you try it.

Regards,

Tested this, spotting is better than in mustangs mod, quite close to stok so that is ok.

But colors are too cartoonish for me, just dont like pastel colors. So i stay in stock for now.

Detail was nice, only if there were bit less green color it would be spot on for me.

Ack, thanks, I actually liked the more intense greens but maybe that's just my monitor settings, and I love the fields although it might make spotting ground tgts more complex... Did you try both spring and summer - are they both too intense?

Thanks again for the VR report.

No problem, its just summer.

i like green too but its just too much cartoon green. Least when i look it in oculus CV1 smile

Spotting with monitor will be ok i think, But in oculus all help is needed.
