As a true Leaf fan I cannot cheer for Ottawa/Montreal, under any circumstance.
I can however cheer for Sidney Crosby. No rivalry there. Good Canadian boy.

I am quite schocked to find myself cheering for PK Subban. But upset Hab fans are one of my favorite things.

I'm sure this post will wake up Krazy Kanuck.

As a die hard Red Wing fan I am hard wired to dislike Sidney Crosby and the Pittsburgh Penguins. Respect their game, despise the hype. Anaheim should be at the golf course. Edmonton was robbed by those NHL "officials". Too bad, they are much more entertaining to watch than the Getzlaf and Perry cheap shot show. So yeah go Sens or Preds.

I was pulling for the Oilers myself.
Now I want to see PK & Co. rub it in Montreal's face.

Should I mention how angry I am at the NHL channel for their constant, no time-restriction, full coverage of IIHF play right now?

I have the cheap cable package, so no NHL channel. I have only seen one IIHF game (USA vs Sweden) on NBC Sports on NBCSports Channel at 01:00 AM EST. For some reason, the American television networks have always done a very poor job in covering the sport. ESPN just flat out sucked at it. I loved when CBC Channel 9 Windsor showed every playoff game, no matter what the team. They didn't stretch out the games or have crazy start times. The playoffs were done and over in good time. The Pred's survived the slashfest last night. Good to see. I have never seen so much slashing in all my life. Every team is doing it now. Nothing but broken sticks all over the ice.

To be honest I was really hoping for a few more Canadian teams in the mix this year.

You guys in TO have a bright future ahead with all the young talent you have now.

Same good outlook with the Oilers I think as well.

Sorry Montreal, you appear to be in for a few years of not much at all.

Crosby was a whiner whe he first came intot the leauge. He was 18.
He has not been like that in years. Obviously you don't watch much hockey. He's the best there is right now.
Nobody takes more abuse on the ice than #87.
Sure he yaps at the referees sometimes. Show me a Captain that doesn't.

Nice goal by Bobby Ryan last night. Still think the Pens are the better team though.

Well my take is....

Although on paper the Pens are a better team, I want the Sens to beat the Pens for the good of hockey.
Corsby is one (or the best) player in the NHL right now. However due to concussions, he needs to sit out and the only way he is going to sit out is by another injury (that can be career/life ending). Let him get rest, and come back next year.
Also, no real love for Kessel.

Once the Sens get rid of the Pens, I want the Preds, to beat the Ducks. The Ducks have won before, time for a new team on the cup.

Between the Sens and Preds,,,,I want the Preds to win cause P.K. (Toronto boy) and to ,,,yeah....stick it to Montreal for the trade....(nice going Montreal, any other blockbuster deals this off season?)

As usual, I'm cheering for the Ducks.

Maybe not. The Preds have some mojo going. The Pens might be a little too worn out from two tough seven game series.

Anything is possible. But I think Nashville's Cinderella run is done. I can't see the 16th seed Winning the Cup.

wonder what the ratings were outside of Nashville and Pittsburgh? I can't remember the last time I watched a hockey game, even can't stand watching my Bruins anymore. The NHL loves Cry baby Crosby so much I'm tired of watching him not being called for crap they always call against him.
