RIP, Mr. Bond.

Why men throw their lives away attacking an armed Witcher... I'll never know. Something wrong with my face?

Ah man. frown RIP.

Sad, for many of us he was the first Bond. At the time you didn't see the Connery movies on tv to know otherwise. Not my favorite Bond, but still had a special place just the same. Not to mention he had a good sense of humor, poking fun at himself as Bond in Cannonball Run. Need to watch The Sea Wolves again.

He was Bond to me, not Connery, as growing up I watched his Bond movies and one of my favorites, "For Your Eyes Only" was his. Sad news indeed. My wife really liked him since she used to watch him in "The Saint" before she got into Bond...she's heartbroken.

RIP

Not my favorite Bond, but he sure made the series entertaining. His movies were not gritty, but very classy.

And to think that Connery is actually a year or two younger than Roger Moore. For the longest time I thought Connery was older.

While he was most known for James Bond, I also remember him from TV shows like "The Saint", "Ivanhoe"; and "The Persuaders" (with Tony Curtis) which aired on our cable networks in the early 80s.

I used to watch him as The Saint and think I prefer that role over Bond.

Like many of you, Mr. Moore was my first Bond (Moonraker...shudder), but he turned me on to the series. I loved "The Saint", as well as a little-known film he starred in called "Ffolks". A class act all the way.

"For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.
Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand." -- Ephesians 6: 12-13 KJV
