I know it's the Daily Fail but if true that's an impressive piece of kit.....

Wow. Now that is truly an amazing shot assuming the details of the incident are accurate.

Has the M200 intervention and 408 chey tac replaced the barrett / 50cal as the most powerful sniper rifle? i was under the impression that the barret was still king.

There was only 16 squadrons of RAF fighters that used 100 octane during the BoB.
The Fw190A could not fly with the outer cannon removed.
There was no Fw190A-8s flying with the JGs in 1945.

I guess since the Barret is officially an anti-material rifle. Same with the 14.5 and 20mm models out there.

The CheyTac rifle and cartridge produce stupifying results though. I remember reading 16 or 17" group at 2km and change. Its proven to remain sub-MOA to 3km.

Ice Cold in Alex or Eating in ...
Can't see anything on the story about how far the shot was, other than the 1.5 miles, it lacks accuracy biggrin

Still an amazing shot and not to take anything away from him, but 1.5 miles is 2640 yds = 2414m it is still a little bit short of the shot by Craig Harrison @ 2475m

Is it true the British army still uses bacon fat as a lubricant for their bullets?

wink
