How did they even manage the process of learning to FLY this thing? (Check out insane angle of attack and low airspeed at 3:00)...

I would assume that the exhaust vector works in concert with standard pitch/yaw controls thus there isn't a tremendous amount of difference in this and any other 3d capable RC aircraft.

The very significant difference is that thrust vectoring isn't dependent on airflow over the control surfaces.
