Doing some hardware upgrades and was curious if anyone of our more high end tech types like Hellshade had any thoughts on this particular monitor. 144hz and 4K are still rare and I haven't found much info out there. Also, what about internal hardware like MB's to handle it.

Thanks in advance!

Rick

Needs a GTX series-10 with DP 1.4 connection to work: Asus PG27UQ review

But if you really want to fly at decent FPS in WOFF, you will need the GTX 1080 Ti card with the 4k resolution.

CPU = i9 11900K
GPU = RTX 3080 Ti
Monitor = ASUS ROG Swift PG32UQX 2160p G-sync

I have a GTX 1080 (not the Ti) and I fly at 2560 x 1440. Unless the monitor you get is a minimum of 36" or higher, you are (in my opinion) better off getting a 144hz monitor with 2k rez instead of a 60hz monitor with 4k rez, which is what I have. I plan on getting a curved 32" with 144hz in another year or so, depending on how finances go.

I have a 980ti and three Acer XB271hu monitors (2560x1440x144hz-gsync) for a combined (bezel corrected) resolution of 7780x1440 running at 85Hz.

I have a GTX 980 and went from a 3 monitor set up with 3840 x 1024 resolution (3.9 megapixels) at 60 Hz to the 3440 x 1440 resolution (4.9 megapixels) single G-Sync curved monitor at 100 Hz with no problem.

I was concerned about reducing my lateral field of view by 10% as peripheral vision is everything in a dogfight, but the 12.5% increase in vertical range in a banking turn, and the elimination of the bezel lines between monitors more than made up for it.

Right now I have an 27" ASUS PB278Q and run 2560 x1440 at a 60Hz refresh. Getting between 75 and 120 FPS depending on the situation on screen with an average of about 95 FPS. Don't get me wrong, it is fine the way it is, I just like to stay ahead of the curve... which we all know is damn near impossible without having won the lottery.
