Uptade. Just when I was about to shut down my computer, I got a message " Please do not power off or unplug your machine. Installing update 1 of 1.."
So I waited and waited, hour later still looked like it was updating( little circle doing its thing)

Eventually I did a force shut down, Today I started the PC and it still doing this update thing

How can I solve this problem?

Marc..

I'd just let it run overnight.....if it's hanging in the morning there's a problem. Alternatively, try and get into the system under 'Safe Mode' and check the Windows logs using Event Viewer to see if you can find any obvious problems.

I tried safe mode but it didn't do anything

I'll leave it run and see what happens
Thanks, Marc..

You can try a system restore from a rescue disc or I think one of the options in F8 menu is to do recovery, and one of the options is restore.

Have not done it in a couple of years, so memory could be rusty.

Win 7 update was a pain in the a$$ at times. You may have to use the M$ troubleshooter/fix tool to sort it or google other ways to recover the situation.

Ok, since I'm not too patient, I went and took off the battery , power and then put everything back together. It then started as normal. Weird!! It looks like when I was powering down previously it went on sleep mode or something instead of restarting, which keep me from being able to start in safe mode

All is good now cool

Thanks, Marc..
