Ok, server has gone Wonky and now the server stays in "stop" no matter what I do (even after restart loading last save). With above picture I hereby annouce us as winners Server moves into ArmA3 Unsung/JungleWarfare for a while.

Well, I cannot hide my disappointment in the server moving on, as this is so much fun. But thank you Oden for putting it up, and putting up with it (and me). Yes, we had some trouble especially toward the end of Rolling Fire. I got paused out again last night but no need to go in to details. When BMS is up again in the server cycle let me know. Where are the details on the ARMA stuff? I have that one too

Guys, I tried a locally saved RF on my machine and just had it running while making dinner. Just came back to see it had stalled at day 9 12:00 sharp. Clock is stopped and if I try to change the speed to x2 or so it just flips to "stop". No victory announced or anying, just plain dead. Weird. the Arma stuff is "5th Air Cavalry" which is a 24/7 mission much like the old "Domination". Server is "odenhouse", should be visible in server list. Needs Unsung release "Delta" (looks like release "Echo" is around the corner btw). Select a slot, grab a helo/request helo/use fasttravel to nearby captured Village and go nuts clearing the next village out. Simple as that I plan to have a go at Balkans as soon as my new internet connection arrives (like tomorrow or within 34 weeks knowing this ISP #¤%"#%¤&)

I just reinstalled Falcon after several years off (the "other sim" just isn't panning out in any way that captivates my attention). I was by no means "proficient" before, so it's taking me a while to get comfortable with the basics. But once I do, I'd like to try and join you guys at some point.

Ah, a left-coaster eh? Sounds good malibu, we would love to have you join us. You need to add BMS to your sig there of course If we can be of any help let us know!

If you can Taxi without hitting others and get up in the air, you're good to go In other news, 3 hours from pressing refund on my new ISP service they realized the router/cablemodem they sent we had not been activated on their side. I just don't understand how they still can be in business. but now I speedtested 487mbit down and 51mbit up so I'm a happy camper Sadly I have a customer database to fight tonight (need users out of the Environment) so no Falcon server but maybe our 4-star General aka Mr DBond could arrange for a prepared Balkans Campaign file meanwhile? (as I read elsewhere that ITO seems overkill for us?) Now, normal folks would just re-run one of the previous Campaigns checking if it got any better but I like to live dangerous :P so why not go for a brand new! Insanity keeps you moving you know

maybe our 4-star General aka Mr DBond could arrange for a prepared Balkans Campaign file meanwhile? Sure thing. Balance of Power is what we have decided correct? I'll make it Veteran and throw in some weather if you don't mind. Any preference for where we fly from? I can reserve either the 22nd at Brnik, or a F-16 squadron from Italy. We can always change this. Might as well fly out of Brnik at the outset. AI reliability is not a given, so everyone should consider that when fragging a mission. If you do not have a human wingman consider going solo to prevent AI from clogging the taxiways. Oden, when Ice and I flew yesterday he got a blue pause on my server. It resolved itself after about a minute or so.

Done If you can Taxi without hitting others and get up in the air, you're good to go ... Check. I can even land! I've refreshed myself on dumb bombs and just need to find another 90 minutes or so to make sure I can use LGBs/GBUs and Mavericks. I figure that will be enough for me to scrape by some campaign missions. Then of course I need to find time to get online with you guys!

Whoa, slow down. That's rather advanced 'round here. We treat Vipers as disposable, like lighters and ex-wives. Unless you mean land in a 'chute, in which case yeah, I'm right there with ya. need to find another 90 minutes or so to make sure I can use LGBs/GBUs and Mavericks. If you need only an hour and a half to work that stuff out, Mavericks especially, you are the new Instructor Pilot for the group

Maybe I should rephrase that: I have the patience for about 90 more minutes of trying to learn some weapon systems and then I'm going to jump into a campaign and complete every mission with CCIP MK82s if I need to.

Haha, now you're talking, though some of us old guys need bigger boom and CCIP drop Mark Eight Fours. In the campaign just completed I would bet Oden and I dropped four eight-fours on at least half of the missions we flew. A possibly overlooked advantage, aside from more boom, is that the triple-rack loads increase drag by nearly three-fold. Four -84s, with four slammers and a jammer is a relatively slippery profile.

Need to practice on LGB delivery, see how it's changed in 4.33.3. Also need to get my head around Mav employment, but since I had such a bad experience with it, especially when coming from DCS A10C where I could ripple-fire 6 Mavs in one pass, well, the Mavs in BMS isn't really high on my list... better bring CBUs or Rockeyes IME.

The BoP campaign we are launching tonight is a good one to practice Mavericks. There are a lot of patrol boats in the Adriatic, so one might fly a TASMO with Mav-Gs. The boats give good boresight targets, with little fear of air defenses while one might be stooging around trying to work it all out. Plus, we need to clear some space for our battle group which will arrive in a couple of days.
