I got this game as part of this month's Humble Bundle, it seemed the most interesting part of it, having not heard of it before.

I played it a couple of times and was initially a little "meh" about it, but the more I played it the more I liked it. I like the interplanetary element of the game, it's rather interesting. And the game engine itself seems to handle thousands of moving units with little trouble.

I'm not any good at it, but I'm enjoying it smile

I played PA before Titans came out and it was a fun game. Any game that lets you fling moons about has something going for it!

Im pretty sure it's the spiritual descendant of Supreme Commander, in which large scale armies was a feature. I don't doubt PA can handle pretty big unit counts.

Throughout history, poverty is the normal condition of man. Advances which permit this norm to be exceeded — here and there, now and then — are the work of an extremely small minority, frequently despised, often condemned, and almost always opposed by all right-thinking people. Whenever this tiny minority is kept from creating, or (as sometimes happens) is driven out of a society, the people then slip back into abject poverty.
This is known as "bad luck.”
