A few weeks ago, the Museum of the American GI in College Station, TX hosted its annual WW2 living history weekend. It's one of the largest WW2 reenactments in the South, and there were a lot of great exhibits. Two of the best, imo, were a uniform collection that was displayed alongside the personal story of the serviceman/servicewoman who wore it and an exhibit that showcased US uniforms, weapons and kit from the late 1800s through WW2. The vehicles took center stage, however. All of them at the event are in running condition. Most were WW2 era, but there were a few Vietnam/modern vehicles and one WW1 truck. The WW1 truck also works. The reenactment was a lot of fun too. Nothing like seeing and hearing all those WW2 beasts in action! If you're ever in the area in late March, when it's held, I highly recommend it. Here are the photos I took at the event:

Great photography. It shows that you think about your picture unlike me who just points and shoots.

For some reason I have always liked the StuGIII. It wasn't all that good, but I just like the way it looks.

Good people sleep peaceably in their beds at night only because rough men stand ready to do violence on their behalf.

Someday your life will flash in front of your eyes. Make sure it is worth watching.

that's cool, apparently we have something like this in MA just a few hours away from me. I should stop in and see what it's all about.

Thanks y'all, glad you liked them.

@OG - I have a soft spot for the StuG as well, or I guess you could say I have the StuG bug wink. Just a cool looking assault gun.
