I was eating them in 67--71 75 to 78 for the C-rats. If we'd had a "chef" that looked like that....nevermind. Kidding aside, a serious mess sergeant can be a real morale booster....and vice versa.

What's that supposed to mean?

When I was in the Army, they didn't let girls play with us combat arms neanderthals. Simple enough?

Marines ran the base at al Jaber Kuwait for a few months while I was there in 2015. The chow hall was great. There was even a huge cake for the USMC birthday, and the Thanksgiving dinner was just about as good as what we have at home.

A friend of mine since Jr. High has a daughter who is in the Marines and cooking has been her passion. She's been diligently serving and improving her skills and keeps on moving up and she's got great ambition. We're all really proud of her! Clickety. Well done her. That plate looks pretty tasty. It's always been important for service-folk to get fed well. My cousin was in the Army Catering Corps, and always joked that the Corps had provided more SAS soldiers than any other Regiment. On a slightly related note, I came across CrazyRussianHacker's Youtube channel, where he tries MRE from the world's armies. It's pretty interesting and funny. https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLat_oTO7cmozAAN-EQWoTqdwPCJD_1U2X
