Greetings All,
I have been travelling nearly non-stop for work these last few weeks. However, the other night while sitting in my hotel room, I did manage to put together a new background for the British Duty Room, (I've been wanting to lose the generic one for a good long while). For anyone who might like to use it here is the link to the BMP image I have just parked online:
Once you have it open just save it to your computer in the same BMP format.
To use it go to the Nations folder in your WOFF install, the path to which should look something like this: C:\OBDSoftware\WOFF\OBDWW1 Over Flanders Fields\campaigns\CampaignData\Nations. Once in the folder locate the "DutyRoom_Britain.bmp" and rename it "DutyRoom_BritainORIG.bmp". Then you can drop in the new one and it should display in the sim.
I built this to fit the native resolution of my monitor which is 1920 x 1080, if folks are using resolutions of the same ratio it should display without distortion. Here is how it should look for you:
(right-click on image and open in new window to view it full size)
Enjoy!
Lou

Thanks everyone, glad you like the new look. When time allows I will consider knocking together versions for the other air services as well but for now, when I am at home, I need to devote my WOFF free time to building winter textures for St. Omer and Havrincourt Wood.
ArisFuser, your duty room tweaks look spiffing as well. Perhaps you should make others available too.
Very nice Lou I really like the Good Luck Charms hanging at the side of the board. I also like the line about After Action Reports! I usually never get to fill one out for that very reason.

Thanks MD, and glad you like the various charms and amulets. I actually went through and "hung" each one individually in order to get the shadows to look as they should.
In looking at your new graphic it appears to be more "roomy" for text. Wonder if a German version would solve the old issue of: Long Von German names + long rank titles + HA = taking two lines up on the screen thereby offsetting every pilots information below them.
