It actually looks quite good and I think the "romcom" aspect will be pretty minor.

Does Michael Sheen have a prominent role or was his presence in the trailer uncharacteristic of his screentime?

Did anyone here get visions of Lloyd from "The Shining" when you first saw Michael Sheen in the trailer? Even the look and arrangement of the bar looked similar.

But she's so easy on the eyes!! I never watched the Hunger Games movies but I thought she was quite good as Mystique in the X-Men movies.

Yes! Maybe Pratt will go nuts and try to kill JL in the station head, just to die outside in the end.
Where are the twins? LOL
I don't need the creepy woman in the tub thing though, that still gets to me.

So I see this movie was largely ignored during its 5 day Christmas opening weekend. It was a mistake to come out so soon after Rogue One.

Saw the trailer again before Rogue One today. Meh. Just. Meh.

Might watch it when it's on free TV.

I just saw it. It's easily forgettable. You are right. Wait for it to show up on free TV.

So I gave this a chance...and I think it is better than I expected, but nothing really special.

Is it a rom-com in space?....yes...but more like 40% rom-com with 50% sci-fi and 10% WTF.

The main problem with it for me is the tone. It is played out as this exciting adventure...with a small character quirk. But this really would have been better served with a darker tone...even as a psychological horror movie....which it tries to be...for like 5 seconds. Then everything is all righty!

The moral of the story is that a man in a desperate situation can force his way with a woman and ruin her life completely through deceit, but as long as he is a nice guy about it, it is all right.

I think the main issue is that the studio banked too much on Chris Pratt and Jennifer Lawrence bringing in lots of viewers based strictly on their A list celeb status.

It just goes to show that audiences still do care about subject matter and tone to a significant degree.

I will rent it. I like Pratt, I like SF, hopefully it's not too sappy.

I finally saw this tonight and it was surprisingly better than what I was expecting.

Pratt, Lawrence and Sheen had really great chemistry.
