While going through the list of commands in the workshop on windows 10 system WOFF UE Version 4:14-4241 I noticed this command is missing. It will not work by keyboard either. It is on Windows 7 system, same version, and works. This is not a problem in itself but makes me wonder if something else is cockeyed. I have not noticed anything. Please see this thread, http://SimHQ.com/forum/ubbthreads.php/topics/4316636/1

Thanks Gents! But still a bit confused. My understanding is that for a fully patched WOFF UE, it is in the workshop. Am I missing something? It is there on my Windows 7 system. and I never edited or added anything. Both it and my Windows 10 system are the same stock version with latest patches. If my computer expert comes by I might get her to read the thread and look at it.

I personally changed the "Y" to "A" and also assigned it to a joystick button.

I did not see it either. (in the workshop) If the WOFF UE install had it, it got wiped when I did a Pilot Restore (which also backs up this file.) I did manually add it as JJJ65 had shown. Then it showed up in the key bindings in workshop.

If I see the need will add as per JJJ65's instructions. Thanks again!

Duke may have unintentionally misled you, Mayfair. The straight and level autopilot is not a setting in Workshop. Instead, you have to find your WOFFKeys.xca file and enter the following line EXACTLY as follows:
<Key ID="P" Action="AUTO_PILOT_LEVEL" FriendlyDesc="Straight and Level Autopilot" Category="SimControl" P4Use="y" />
This will make the "P" key on your keyboard the button to enable straight and level autopilot in the game. If "P" is already assigned to another function, you will have to replace "P" in the above line with a different letter that has not already been assigned.
Is that as clear as mud?

Is that as clear as mud? Buckeye, It is clear, but no way I am going to try it. I have never used a mod or edited files because of my ignorance. If something goes wrong, I am dead in the water until someone with more knowledge than me can fix it. That being said, I would argue that level auto pilot is a workshop setting as it is on my windows 7 system and the only thing on it is stock WOFF UE and its patches. I do appreciate all the info and if I feel the need for it will get someone to add it in. Thanks all for advice.

No problem, MFair. I can certainly understand your reluctance to possibly spoil your $65 product. That being said, it is a simple text file, so all you would have to do is copy and paste the above line into your WOFFKeys.xca file. If you make a backup of the WOFFKeys.xca file first, you won't run the risk of killing WOFF.
i think some of the confusion about Workshop comes from the different versions of WOFF. Straight and level autopilot was in previous versions of WOFF, but was left out of WOFF UE for some reason. The current autopilot in WOFF UE is more like robot autopilot, in that when engaged, your plane flies as if piloted by an AI pilot and will attempt to carry out mission objectives, fight, etc.
I just had an idea! Maybe you can ask JJJ or Robert Wiggins to write a little program to insert the line into your WOFFKeys.xca file. It shouldn't be difficult for them to do and might be a solution to your problem.

Hello sirs, straight and level autopilot is included in WOFF UE, but OBD probably made a typo, so, this command is hidden behind name "Leval AP". Look for this command in Workshop keyboard settings and assign key/button to it. If not found, send me your WOFFKeys.xca file, I can modify it for you.
