What goes up must come down  Man that was one nice binge! watched from episode 3 to 9 today, while it is similar to the books it's not quite the same, using different triggers to achieve a same end result as the books, it has fairly cut back on a lot of background to some of the peoples stories. It makes the series interesting even having read the books and I liked the bit about Epstein, it was one of the spin off books about the Expanse.

But it won't be the same. That's why they introduced the asian scientist... the show needed another smart dude to keep the character dynamic balanced.

Favorite sci-fi show in a long time, not counting my first run through Babylon which I'm watching now, also. But the Expanse is good. Real good. Yeah it is good, really enjoying the series and it is just enough different from the books that you are not quite sure how they are going to get from one disaster to the next  The only thing that does not come across well in the series is the time it takes to go anywhere, space, empty space plays a big role in the books.

The only thing that does not come across well in the series is the time it takes to go anywhere, space, empty space plays a big role in the books.
That's an obvious limitation of filmed entertainment. What can they show on screen to demonstrate huge amounts of time passing by without boring the audience?
