It seems that there are on going plans to recover at least one more P-38 from beneath the ice in the same manner "Glacier Girl" was recovered.

Great site! And I didn't even know that another B-29 had been restored and is flying. I thought "FIFI" was still the only flying Superfort. And the story was done a year ago. Damn, I'm just not keepin' up with what's going on anymore.

my Mom worked on the P38 during the war. That might be one she helped assemble. it would be cool to see it running again!

It really is wonderful that they are saving and restoring these old warbirds. Almost makes you weep to think of the thousands they junked after the war.
