Chuck,
Super League is only for those who've Ranked out ( ie: reached Rank 1 ). Something I doubt I'll ever have the patience for 😶

I see, thanks for that info. I gave up at rank 10,I have no wish to subject myself to any more of that. I'm not even sure if I will attempt ranked season 7 although I may do what I did this time, play for the rewards and quit around 10. Purely for my sanity if nothing else.

Yup, that's what I do in Ranked. Play til around R10 and call it. I'm really only in it for the good rewards, not the special upgrade crap they push out after 10.

Now that ranked is over (do I hear cheers?) where did you get to?

I managed rank 10 then quit as noted above,I assume Bohemond did the same.

How can they make it less frustrating I wonder? It was mostly just smoke and camp, smoke and camp.

Hit 9 and quit. I just watched an interview Flamu did with Sub_Octavian of Wargaming ( and another WG employee who was never named). Both WG employees admitted Ranked has issues and that they are looking how to improve the experience. FWIW.

reached rank 10 fairly early and then stopped as not an enjoyable process as stated by many others.
Used the scharnhorst and Nagato mainly and an atlanta as a cruiser. I have a belfast but didnt use it as too many belfasts in the game.

I think the best tier for ranked is tier 6 as many different ships and tactics to use without radar and less smoke. The good thing about ranked this time is the team comms were less toxic than previously or maybe because i stopped early i didnt experience it.

I'm really enjoying the latest patch so far. I like the buff to the Tirpitz. Secondary guns now have a 10.6 km range (Flamu build).Only have a 10 point captain though. Not sure if I can improve on that. Now it's fun to play.

I decided to start playing carriers.I only have tier 4 and 5 so far so no chance to try manual drops yet and I restricted myself to co-op. I did play a few games before they removed manual drops and I sucked if I remember.

I watch 'Femenennly' on Twitch a lot.She plays mainly tier 9 and 10 IJN carriers and she's one of the best NA players. She doesn't advise US carriers,do you guys agree? I've not often seen her get bested by an Essex or Midway.

I've heard that too since their torpedo bombers are great, but I can never get anywhere with the IJN carriers due to the inferior fighters they carry. Or the loadouts without fighters for both the US and IJN. I guess I'm just terrible at keeping my aircraft alive.

Anyone jumped into ranked yet? I'm just wondering what tier VI is playing out like.

I haven't played for weeks,I can't seem to get my gaming head on just lately frown

Same boat as you, Chucky. Just burned out on WoWs. Jumped in to Ranked at 15 due to last season ending rank. First several matches were horrible. Probably a combination of my rustiness and window licker teams. After those, it started to improve. Think im at 11 or 12. Not sure I like T6 over 7 and 8. None of those boats are really prime Rankers, I feel. However, it seems to be much more balanced than the last 2 seasons. Seeing a nice wide variety of all types of classes. Really quite refreshing for a change.
Personally, I've been running Anshan, Fubuki, and Farragut the majority. I had to retrain my 19 pt Benson and my 17 pt Shimikaze skippers. I usually stop around R10 or so as the rewards past it don't seem worth the aggravation. We'll see how it goes this time around.

New smoke mechanic... screwy Not exactly going to encourage teamplay is it? Let's hope it doesn't make it out of testing.

According to the forums, the smoke change is NOT going to happen. At least for next patch.

This has gone a bit quiet lately. To be honest I've not played for ages but for a few days (ends 25th I think) you can reset all your Captain abilities for free.

I can understand that Ajay. I've started playing World of Tanks again even though in the past I swore I would never play it again. I suspect I will re-visit WoWs at some point in the future.

Have you tried War Thunder Ground Forces Chucky? More immersive and challenging than WoT to my mind. Good fun being able to man flak guns

Yeah,I've played it quite a bit but not lately. I did find it enjoyable though.

It's a constant struggle for me at the moment to keep interested in games. I think I'm at 'that age' sigh
