Usually record what ever show it is and then watch them one per day as I'm doing the laundry, rarely do I ever watch more than one episode after another.
I can't get the TV during the evening so I record and watch during the day when the wife and son are out at work
Mind you I still have things on the HDD that I recorded last may still to watch, and with the start of F1 this weekend I better make room for it
At least I have my own cable DVR and satellite DVR for my cinema if I really want to go see something, and my PC is connected to the TV and cinema for watching "streamed" media
Back in the UK I don't use the TV I get all my UK TV here on cable or satellite.

I've binge-watched whole series before now. Red Dwarf I have done many times, although here in the UK a season is usually 6 episodes.

I remember when I first watched Fawlty Towers and was both shocked and sad that there were only 12 episodes ever made!

I always knew that, but I was surprised when I found out that there are only 30 Top Cat episodes :/ It seems to me I've never seen the same episode twice, even over many years of watching it as a kid. Sort of like Bilko.

Gone box set barmy of late. Got Netflix in Never was in to it until a few weeks ago, I got rid of my satellite TV provider sick of paying to watch adds But the lack of sleep is starting to show just one more episode LoL
Watch out for a movie called Phamtom on Netflix a pretty decent cold war naval thriller starring Ed Harris.
Binge-watching a single show makes much more sense than what I'm doing currently. Alternating between weekly new episodes of Homeland, 24 and Designated Survivor is *very* confusing.
Coming from someone who only gets basic DirecTV and in parent's part of home (new construction), also on satellite ISP (thus no streaming)...
It's not uncommon for me to binge watch a series on a Sunday evening. Lately it's been "Married with Children", we can knock out a DVD (~12 episodes [~30 min.]) in one sitting. Usually it's like hitting the snooze when you don't *have* to get up. "Just one more. Ok, just one more and that's it. Alright, let's just watch the beginning of the next one to see which one it is," and so on until you reach the end of the DVD.
Otherwise, I'm just not into TV. Mom keeps their TV on Star Trek all day long (something I hate, usually wearing headphones when I'm working in their area), dad only watches ball games and a rare movie ("O Brother, Where Art Thou?"). But on Friday afternoons, mom watches the original Star Trek series and that I can sit and watch, until it's time to get ready for the evening (usually I go out). I wish they would move the old Star Treks to another day. Although I have the DVDs (with new effects), it's nice to have coffee with a parent and watch something you both enjoy.
However, looking at the pic in the link (see below)... Guitar, magnetic chess set (maybe with the son), bicycle, cuddly wife...there's a number of things I'd rather be doing on what appears to be such a nice day, than watching whatever it is they're watching (looks like a chick flick).

Saw it a few months ago. Surprisingly good but very small budget. Lance Henriksen got a little scene at the beginning, too.
I've never watched more than 2 in a row of any TV show. I have spent up to 4 hours watching shows, 4 different ones though. Even 30 min shows like Monty Python I've never watched 3 in a row. I'm just tired of it by then and move on.
Never watched 2 films in a row, though.

I regularly binge watch shows in their entirety when available.
Started with House of Cards on Netflix (the one with Kevin Spacey).
I watched The Man in the High Castle Season 2 last weekend. All ten episodes on one sitting.
But is is due more to the shows themselves than a habit. There are shows that, even as good as they are, I prefer to watch at a slower pace. I am going through The Expanse by watching one episode every 2 days.

Wow. Aren't those episodes one hour long each?

I DVR all my "TV" shows and will watch usually the next day. We binged Game of Thrones because we started 5 seasons late, also binge House of Cards and Homeland, that that's it. Never a tv show on normal cable.

For current sitcoms, I highly recommend The Goldbergs. Perfect for our generations around here. Matt Leblanc has one that's surprisingly good too, Man with a Plan.
Ah, this is more about current shows than current habits. My post deleted, I don't know any current shows.

For the most part yes. I don't know of too many people who are binge watching "I Love Lucy" or "Mr. Ed".

JK, I would watch several episodes of Lucy but I never did get into Mr Ed. When I had cable and could get MeTV I was watching several of those old tv series like Perry Mason and Andy Griffith daily.
