Finally got around to watching Kurosawa's Yojimbo. Excellent movie. Clearly 'Last Man Standing' was a remake of this film. Heh, I'm glad to see you enjoyed "Yojimbo". I also highly recommend you watch "Sanjuro" the unofficial sequel. Oh and "Fist Full of Dollars" was also a straight remake of "Yojimbo". Yes. Those are on the list. I saw 7 samurai ages ago.

So I saw this movie last night with my GF, Man DownShia LeBeouf, Jai Courtney, Gary Oldman and Kate Mara In a post-apocalyptic America, former U.S. Marine Gabriel Drummer searches desperately for the whereabouts of his son, accompanied by his best friend and a survivor. I know LeBeouf can be a whacko but he did an amazing job, this wasn't what I thought it was going to be about at all...

Watched several episodes of M*A*S*H last night. That was a great show.

LeBeouf actually has some talent and can act. He just committed the mortal mistake of criticizing Steven Spielberg. You don't do that and NOT suffer career consequences. it also doesn't help some of his whacked out episodes where he goes off on complete strangers

I've just picked up Black Sails http://www.imdb.com/title/tt2375692/3 episodes in and I'm hooked. It's a bit like Westworld with the nudity, not totally necessary but welcome

I know the show has received a lot of accolades but the whole pirate genre just never interested me much. Now if someone would do a tv series about the naval side of the "Age of Sail" such as a series about John Paul Jones or Horatio Nelson I would most definitely watch that. And yes, I did watch the Horatio Hornblower series from the 1990's but I would like to see something new!

my older brother loves this show, he actually bought me the first season on DVD. I'll have to open the disk up and start watching.

For the longest time I didn't know that the original MI show was a Desilu production. Hence why you see Leonard Nimoy in so many episodes. Mission Impossible was one of the last series green lighted by Desilu. It came out the same year as Star Trek. Of the class of 1966 Star Trek was the worst performing in terms of years on the air. Wow. The only show on that list that I've seen in its entirety is Star Trek. That may be the only one for me too. Something else that crossed my mind as I was reading the list was that several of them would have never been green lit if it hadn't been for Desilu. Wheels
