Well, had an accident at work last monday which stung a little and required a little bit of hospital bed rest (strimmer exploded!) so thats why i've not been around this week. Anyway i'm back home fully(ish) healed and the only injury left really is the highly irritating perforated eardrum from the loud bang, and that means that gaming with sound and music is a no-go for "2 weeks to 2 months" .. aka "till its sorted itself out" frown I'll still be around on the forums n stuff, just no headphone usage and loud noises!

wounded

plus side though ... i get a fancy new strimmer woot

Sorry to hear that, meatshield.

I used to play in an ARMA group where one person was deaf. You could still play with us. Granted, it will be harder with the sounds turned off. We could plan missions via chat and type important items.

But, in any case, get better soon.

Edit: Plus, had to google 'strimmer' to know wth you were talking about.

TBH, when not using a mic (playing offline) I have at times not bothered putting my headphones on and just left them on the desk with the volume turned up. I could hear important stuff (like guys shooting at me) and as I usually play with subtitles turned on in games, because you can read more than you can hear in most games, I've not missed the story stuff.

Dont think of it as being vastly outnumbered ... but just having a large target selection.
