Nice report Jenks! No wonder we Germans are swept from the sky, with all you hotshots hunting us.

Lederhosen, I hope you get your Halb soon. Stay alive!

My mistake sir!
Hope you get it soon. Should make for a more intersting, or at least even contest for the Germans!

Thanks Scout; I'm sure the time I spend is overdone but I enjoy the process.

Typos and all! smile

Wow, you guys have been busy!

@ Jenks congrats on the DSO!

@ 77_Scout very sorry to see you done. Do restart with Entente if you feel the urge. The team v team thing has fizzled out, I think mainly 'cause it's so tough on the CP side!

@ Nietzsche, congrats on your first victory!

@ Lederhosen, continued impressiveness, racking up the victories!

As for Capt. Nelson, he's been a dreadful leader. Keeps losing his men!

@Harry: Thanks smile ...was about Time ;-)

@Jenks:
Yes, you CAN ram a Plane - and it will even count as confirmed Kill, if you manage to down it that Way. In this particulary Case, I wasn't planning to... driving
You have to know, what the most rugged Part of your Plane is, if you want to do that intentionally. Usually, it's the Undercarriage / Landing Gear. You can "hop" onto most Planes. Exceptions are Eindeckers - the "Antenna-Construction" of the Wing-Warping hook-up is very tough. The Eindecker will take heavy Damage - but you Plane will, too.
A great Plane for such "Chicken Races" is the Pfalz-Parasol. His "Antenna" will slice through anything like a hot Knife through Butter charge

...and yes, I know, it is more or less Cheating hahaha

This new forum layout is not conducive to RiR or anything else really frown I'm still figuring out how to post an updated scoring chart image.

Okay, Mission 9 was... crowded.
We were above the Lines, two Scouts and two BEs, when I heared this distinctive "Sizzle" of Rotaries closing in. It was quite cloudy and no one else bothered. Nevertheless, I started searching, and some Time later I met... two Airco DH2s. Just when I thought, that was it... the Dh2s began moving wildly.
4 Eindeckers entered the Scene - and the Rest was a crowded Chaos... (Player's Comment: 2 Scouts, 2 BEs, 2 Dh2s and 4 E3s... felt like 1918 lightsabers )

...hmm... I would have liked to show you some Pics of the Action, but since this Forum modified it's Surface, I have no Idea how to implement Pics into Posts...

Ugh indeed! I haven't managed to fly for a while and I know scores need updating. I wonder where the Scout pilots went from 4 Sqdtn? Maybe you should transfer to a nearby DH2 squadron?

My Capt. Nelson ended his career with an unwise attack on 3 Eindeckers a couple of weeks back. I'm restarting in a Halb. Flew one mission and did actually manage to catch a couple of BE2s. I will have some time on Monday to update things. We're getting close to the finish!

Yes indeed, Lederhosen. Alb challenge next I think. Already planning it. However, I'm going to need a break between challenges. Busy period coming up.

Cheers

Well. we are a couple of weeks shy of the official finish line and there's only Lederhosen and myself still flying by the looks of things. The changes to the forum, especially how difficult it has become to post images, seem have taken the wind out of the sales, plus maybe the oddities with RFC 4 switching to 2-seater only and the somewhat large disparity between the Central Powers machines v Entente (although that hasn't hindered Herman Der German from running up a pretty decent score!).

My attempt at flying a Halb came to a crispy end on my 5th mission with an engine fire at 5,000 ft. I'm probably not going to jump back in but I will wrap up the final scoring in a couple of weeks, in case any of you want to fit in some more flights in the interim.

Cheers

H

I'll fly the last flight for Hermann today and send it too you anyway.
I feel the campaign was a little long this time.
But, with better Hun planes the next battle should be closer.
