Ok, I don't see a need for the DLC as it sits. Fancy cars and skins are not why I play. Ha

Can someone explain how to join a 'Mission' like this?

Player A: Player A has a "Yellow Story Mission" and selects it.
Player B: Player B has already finished this mission, and it doesn't show up "as a yellow mission" on their map.

How does Player B join Player A's mission?

(This is not the Green Side Missions which give on screen prompts)

I don't know? In the beta we all joined once the mission was chosen by the host and shared the directionals. Last night I never saw a prompt to do that.

It's not necessary strictly speaking.

However, they should be able to find the mission in their list as already completed and allow them to select it again from what I saw last night.
They have to look for it, though, no one can hold their hand and make it pop up for them.

Stop that Convoy!

Have tried this a few ways, the following way seems to work best:

Get ahead of the convoy's path.
Start stopping civilian cars. Shoot the tires so they won't leave.
Use a few to block the road.

Now pick an ambush point and wait for the hilarity to ensue!

Raw Kryptonite set out all these mines in case the got past.... never needed them.
The moment the convoy got stuck in the traffic jam, he called in the friendly mortar strike.

Easy Peasy.

That was a whole lot of build up just to finish it with a call on the radio. LOL
Even had the C4 on the gates in case they got by us and the mines.

Played a GREAT mission earlier! Looking for a scope or gun, I forgot which and stumbled upon a very cool base holding prisoners. I captured it and I'm posting when it's done. The outer areas have some very good missions. Did one yesterday in a mine shaft that by the time I cleared it out, I popped back up topside WAY out from where I started. The higher level areas are a lot of fun.

Who has it, what does it go on, and is it an improvement?

Speaking of:

What Upgrades have you found to be important?
What was meh?

I think the Upgrades to the Drone are priority.
But you have to get a Parachute among the things you need first.
Stable shot is up there, along with Healing and Recovery upgrades

Yeah the upgrades to the drone are a must since the default drone's batteries die out on you in like 30 seconds. Stable shot is also a must.

I've got the long barrel but I couldn't tell you if it really makes a difference.
Good mods:
red dot sight (I forget the name). I notice it toggles between __ . __ and a circle with a dot. Am I missing something or is that just preference?
ACOG
Sniper scope, it's maybe Russian(?) and has that periscope shape. Sorry, I can't remember the real names of these things.

Useless:
Mainly just weapons I stumbled across but won't use.
I don't see a use for the laser for the pistol. Faster aiming supposedly, but I'm not using crosshairs that I assume that refers to.
3 laser rail attachment something or other. Same thing, I think it applies to crosshairs.

Skills:
Agreed on the drone, the more the better. Battery, range, the wide/fast acquisition, night vision. Can't WAIT to get into the add on's for EMP etc.
Grenade launcher
Frags, mines, C4...all good, but I only have 1 level on them which is usually enough since ammo crates are so easy to find.
I have the distraction grenade, but haven't gotten to use it much. I don't want to stir up more than expected.
Stamina...just one level and it seems to be enough so far.
Stable shot, I think I have 1 which so far seems to be enough.

Several more, but I can't remember right now what. I'd say they all pay off other than the hip shot I picked up by accident.

Favorite guns:
P90...comes with the 50 round mag, so no need to upgrade. Also comes with 3 triggers, combinations of single/3 round/full auto.
TAR21 w/ACOG and launcher
SRSA1 sniper, usually enough, but I also use the MRS and HTI. Of the MRS and HTI, one has more penetration the other more damage. Both are very effective and put a hurt on choppers. I still like the SRSA1 for being compact and it is usually enough.

I will forever think of the P90 as the gun from SG-1. smile I've just been disappointed with its stopping power in the games I've used it in, though. Accurate and a big clip but felt like I was shooting a .22 most of the time.

Interesting to see if it's better here.

If you're playing single player the synch shot is a must, not really useful in multiplayer though.
Agreed on the 1 level of Stamina, that's plenty unless you're running marathons in the game.
1 level of Stable Shot also seems to be plenty.
In multiplayer, a drone range of over 1 seems like a waste as often times the enemy doesn't spawn in that far away.
The binocular upgrades are very useful if you have LOS.
If things go loud often, put 1 point in faster reviving, it's really slow without it and that 1 upgrade makes a large improvement.
On the highest difficulty the bullet resistance doesn't seem to do anything on the first level or two.

The P90 is one of the better SMG's in here. The Unidad (sp?) soldiers come up with some pretty good armor, but it stays effective.

Speaking of the guns, can anyone clarify this for me: if I find a gun in the field that I want but have to swap, say, my trusty, modified MP5 for it, will I ever get that modded MP5 back (like at the beginning of the next mission)? Thanks!

Yes, you can outfit yourself again. Also if you have a cut scene, your weapons reset and you'll go back to the gun you dropped to pick up the one you found.
The list of guns shows what region to find them in, just select the gun you want to find. I spent the first hours playing finding the guns I wanted most. Go to the area and start finding intel.

My two cents after 10+ hrs. Many here like this one, i'am completely on the other end. Worst purchase in years.

I sure didn't excpect a tactical game but what i got is a mix of Just Cause with GTA in a comic style world with comic style npc's and zero military feeling. Nonexistent AI, horrible drive/fly mechanics, tons of bugs such as bad object collisions, vehicles falling apart after hitting sth at 5 mph, and many more. Technologically it's a mess IMHO, not far away from Mafia 3 case. Our troops can climb better that horses in Skyrim, there's no falling dmg except falling from a plane, nightvision works in broad daylight (but our soldier doesn't even have googles equipped). But hey, you can have a pink weapon...

It's a huge disappointment i every way. If you think that you'll have even a shred of Clear&Present Danger felling, a shred of some tactical gameplay with some serious military feeling, you won't. It's arcadey as it can be and filled with many bugs. Try it before you buy it.

This is why I play Armed Assault 3. smile

To be honest though, I would not have bought GR: Wildlands if it didn't have the coop mode. Yes, the game is by no means a serious tactical shooter but the coop mode makes it fun.
