It is smile I guess you need to get the DLCs and Apex seperately, but even so it seems good value. Pity I already got all that stuff several times over :/

The lesson here is if you wait enough years after release you can get a game cheap.

So everyone who held out from Arma 1's release till today gets a GREAT deal.

They've also missed out on years of fun with them, though...

Oh man I think there isn't a single pastime I've had more fun with than the Bohemia range of games there. From OFP right up to A3.

Some great games have come out of the Czech Republic! Mostly the Hidden & Dangerous, OFP, and ArmA series. smile

Mafia and Mafia 2 as well, I believe (same ones who did H&D).

I briefly thought about playing those but the whole gangster/mafia genre was never that compelling to me.

Do yourself a favor and play Mafia 1.

It's one of the best games I've ever played and really set the standard for immersive story-based single player. Graphics will be a little dated at this point but passable.

Graphics were amazing when it came out. The intro pan all over the gaming world is nothing short than amazing.
Anyway let us not forget about the Vietcong series that came out of there too! Great game the first!

VC1's graphics were rough even when it came out, but the immersion, game play, and voice acting was hitting far above the appearance in screen shots.

I still remember following the point man, telling the squad to wait while I found and disarmed booby trap #132, crawling through tunnels... Best Vietnam game that wasn't a flight sim I ever played. BF: Vietnam was entertaining, as was the Eve of Destruction mod for BF42 before it, but despite better graphics and higher production values it was still inferior by half.

I'm a newbie, own arma2 base on steam but have never installed it and stumbled across the humble bundle deal.
I'm keen on getting back to arma but am a little confused:
is arma3 contained in apex or would I need arma3 separately in order to access less futuristic content and the arma3 base missions?
Similarly would I get all of the visual improvements of apex if I only had arma3?
I'm only interested in sp campaigns

many thanks
Luca

ARMA3 include Altis and Stratis maps and is base for others DLC, like the (include in bundle) KARTS.

APEX Tanoa map is DLC for Arma3.

Other DLC available is

Helicopters

Marksman

Only ARMA3 basic will allow you play several SP missions, campaigns.

humble bundle might be the best option for me and leave apex for now.
I'm in interested in the arma2 campaigns and content though as I'm a an offline campaign player.
I found cup for arma3, but does it come with cwa a1 a2 campaigns?
or are there a3 cup campaigns based on previous games available?
