Sounds like the Viggen/F-14, along with almost all the staff, will remain with one team. The Mig-21, Corsair, and a small contingent will move to another team. From the looks of it, the F-14 shouldn't see any delay based off this, but it looks like a long and rocky road for the MIg-21 fixes and Corsair release.

Expect long delays as both teams will need to clarify tons of things before work can continue. Of course this is my opinion, but doesn't sound good for the modules. RAZBAM can get a lot of benefits If delays are a reality.

RAZBAM can get a lot of benefits If delays are a reality. I wouldn't be so sure. The Viggen was sold from Heatblur's website, so this clearly has been in the works for months. Also, they have stated that there is no revenue sharing split happening. LNS (now Magnitude 3) is not making any royalties from the Viggen, and Heatblur is making nothing from the MiG-21Bis. Module teams were taken in their entirety by Heatblur, and third party agreements are made on the module level, not the studio level, so Heatblur already has 3rd party agreements in place and locked down for ED distribution. As far as what we can see from here, this process looks to run fairly smoothly. The only person who had any crossover between M3 and Heatblur was Cobra/Nick, and he's an artist and hype man, so I don't foresee problems from there. The only major delay will be in the Iwo Jima map, which M3 now owns, and they've explicitly stated it's on development freeze while they get their house in order. Any delays that I can see occurring, will be with MiG-21Bis patches, and not the modules Heatblur is working on.

I actually hope this will accelerate the release of the F4U, or at least accelerate getting some infos about it. Now they can't afford anymore to hold it back until ED has developed something or until the enormous work to develop an entire Pacific theater for DCS can come close to completion. Also LN now has no other possibly more profitable projects in the pipeline anymore that could be prioritized over the Corsair..

As you know, a business development resembles real life in many aspects; and apart from the amazing experiences we’ve had these years, there have also been some business and management issues and disagreements within our team. As in real life, problems have to be dealt with in a rational manner in order to keep things moving forward. This often results in having to make hard decisions for a better and more secure future.
The original “Leatherneck Simulations” four-people team has decided to part ways: three of us (Michael, Radu and Novak) will remain under one umbrella by creating a new company – MAGNITUDE 3 LLC, based in Florida, USA.

I was more interested in the layman's terms reasoning, not the PR spiel that is pulled from the same playbook.

In layman's reasoning. Too many large egos in too small a space. Hahaha!! That's what I'm reading between the lines too. Just wondered if they went into more detail about it. Pity.... but it should be interesting how the split will improve their respective products.

That is the inherent flaw in modders-turned-developers.
A "true" developer is a company. It has people in charge, it has a pecking order of authority, it has clear goals dictated from the top down.
A mod team is a bunch of people who likely all feel equal. That means when they disagree, they expect their POV to rule and no one else's. They rarely have a clear chain of command that is respected and obeyed by all.
