Not necessarily, I think the latest beta works with 13.3. Might want to go to their forum and verify. I assume that you patched it up to 4.13.3? Yes...GOG has it at 4.13.3m 'out of the box' as it were.

Now that the webhost Paul was using has discontinued their service you will have to register at the JG1 fourms to download the program. Further down he has released a beta 10 version of his program. Since someone announced that v4.13.3 had been released a few post earlier in the same thread it is my opinion DCG should work with v4.13.3. It is always prudent to make a backup copy of your install before making changes of this nature though. Wheels

I will do so...but care to clarify how I make a 'backup copy'? Would creating a folder of it's own, cutting and pasting the original folder & renaming it 'DCG version' or something like that work?
I am also signing up for JG1's forum now too.

Sorry Nick I should have been more clear with my response. As Dave said just copy the entire game to another folder. Not sure where GoG places the game but these are the default locations. - (32 bit systems): C:\Program Files\Ubisoft\IL-2 Sturmovik 1946
- (64 bit systems): C:\Program Files (x86)\Ubisoft\IL-2 Sturmovik 1946
I don't use the default location. I always save mine into a Games folder to keep from having problems that can be caused when it is in either of the Program files folders. C:\Games\Ubisoft\IL-2 Sturmovik 1946 - C:\Games\Ubisoft_v407m\
- C:\Games\Ubisoft_v412_2m\
- C:\Games\Ubisoft_v413_2m\
- C:\Games\Ubisoft_HSFX703\
- etc.
By doing it this way I just copy the entire IL-2 Sturmovik 1946 folder into my new folder which gives me another full version of the game. Start the game from the new folder to test it. Find the il2fb.exe file. Sometimes the .exe extension is hidden. C:\Games\Ubisoft_v413_2m\IL-2 Sturmovik 1946 \il2fb.exeOnce you have confirmed the copy works you can add things to your hearts content and not wreck your original version. This may help too.
