I know this is wishful thinking but it would go a long way to giving each user the look that he wants by allowing some configurable capability.
I personally loose the left columns on my cell phone and so have to specify web native view to get it all. That shouldn't be the case and I could overcome it if they would let me do the following:
(System_Specs)
Case: Cooler Master Storm Trooper PSU: Ultra X3,1000-Watt MB: Asus Maximus VI Extreme Mem: Corsair Vengeance (2x 8GB), PC3-12800, DDR3-1600MHz, Unbuffered CPU: Intel i7-4770K, OC to 4.427Ghz CPU Cooler: Cooler Master Seidon 240M Liquid CPU Cooler Vid Card: ASUS GTX 980Ti STRIX 6GB OS and Games on separate: Samsung 840 Series 250GB SSD Monitor: Primary ASUS PG27AQ 4k; Secondary Samsung SyncMaster BX2450L Periphs: MS Sidewinder FFB2 Pro, TrackIR 4
I just discovered another issue. You can no longer apply particular font colours to your text when using the "Link" feature.
I also do not like the "attachment" methodology for pictures because you cannot properly annotate them and custom place them in your post.
Geez. I wish they would do some cursory testing to identify these issues and at least take some time to see if there is a workaround or assess the impact on the community. Oh well, it is what it is I guess.

As for using the WOFF Fixed layout - from what I read yes that will have problems - It has not been updated. The one recommended by the forum admins is the Crimson one.
It works okay for me and looks good on my phone.

Robert, we seem to be stuck with this less than perfect upgraded forum. They seem to love it over on the SimHQ forums, so I guess we will just have to get used to it. It's a shame because this will really negatively impact our ability to weave our stories.

Thanks for the link Stache. I posted over there so maybe it will get attention.

I hear you Banjoman. I have posted my issues at the link Stache provided so hopefully we will see some resolution eventually.

There is this old saying, "If it aint broke, don't fix it"
Well, that's just it. It was "broke" by current standards, as it didn't work well on tablets. For some people, that was a big deal, as for whatever reason they use tablets for accessing the forums a lot, instead of a desktop PC or laptop.
Also, it should be kept in mind that SimHQ / RacerGT didn't code / write the forum software. It is Powered by UBB.threads™ PHP Forum Software. They had a new version that was tablet friendly, plus other improvements/fixes, so SimHQ updated to it. I suspect that were I in RacerGT's shoes, I would have made the same decision to update the forum software to the newer version.
I prefer the earlier method of image insertion in forum posts though, and wish we still had it for Private Messages too. So it goes, sometimes. (I imagine UBB threads new Attachment Manager enables some advantageous things for some types of forums)

Cyber, I made some suggestions to Murphy on how to resolve a few of these problems and I think it can be addresses if Racer dialogues with UBB on this. There are PHP coding methodologies that will work. Racer just has to actively push for a solution.
One thing that would help and is possible with PHP coding is to make the forum columns dynamically stretch/shrink to allow all columns to be visible on mobile devices and not truncate the "last post" column. It is doable. Fixed column widths is not desirable.

The appreciation should go to RacerGT. The rest of us try to help out where we can, but this stuff is his baby. We just hand him the wet wipes occasionally.
Still it does not work on my Ipad, the half of the page is white! Strangely when I'm not logged in, the page shows everything, but soon when I do the login it starts showing the half of the page good and the rest white, while the complete site is being blocked for navigating. I'm not using any add blocker and the browser is the plain Apple safari. On Windows10, Google highly blocking all the adds, trojans and cookies this site runs fine, so let me guess I have to block all the adds/cookies from SimHQ to keep on running this website on my Ipad? For me it does not have any sense in injecting my game desktop computer with all the internet crap, so if this SimHQ forum is not working on the Ipad, then sorry to say this forum does not have any use for me, because I'm using the Ipad for all the internet/Email activities.
Right now it is for me byby and hoping OBD does reconsider to swapping over to an problem free website.
Which version number of Safari are you running on your iPad?
Have you tried any of the alternate Styles available on the Style Chooser pull down menu at the bottom of the screen?
Yep that was the trick, it is working now, using Woff fixed, normally I could not read that because the last 50% of the webpage was white. I will delete my hars topic, sorry I was very frustrated while I could not read the Woff forum nor could see the solution for this problem.
