This is my re-creation of the epic photo from the first STAR WARS back in 1977.

Software used: Caligari Truspace 7.61 and Adobe Photoshop/CS6.

You'll see an emphasis on military aviation art. And evidence of F-15 Eagle fanboi-ism.

I'm gradually making an change and adding space stuff, including (again/eventually) some original IamFritz space ships.

Pretty nice. There are some differences but it is a really good rendition.

• Stars are brighter in your version.
• Red "racing stripe" on the X-WIng side is thinner in your version
• More red on the wings of the X-WIng fighter than the original
• Your X-WIng side window is partitioned whereas the original is not.
• The caged window beams on the Tie fighter are thicker in the original.

My observations are not criticisms in any way just what I noticed as different. I can guarantee if it had not been for the watermark on your version I would not have known which one was yours when placed next to the original.

Thanks all for the kind words.

I intentionally left most of those things different. I I didn't want to make it EXACT. I wanted to show off my skills, but when I DID make it much closer, I felt someone would say, "He just Photoshopped the original a little bit and called it his," so I went the way I did.

Except the partition cockpit frame. It's there, the glare just conceals it.

Yeah, I get that. You have to walk the fine line between making it so close it looks like a minimum effort touch-up of the original and so different that people don't see it at all.
