There was only 16 squadrons of RAF fighters that used 100 octane during the BoB.
The Fw190A could not fly with the outer cannon removed.
There was no Fw190A-8s flying with the JGs in 1945.

This is where my Uncle was wounded out of the war. Artillery strike hit the man running up the beach next to him. The man struck body parts went through my Unckles thigh and
and ripped through an artery and he was out. All that was left of the man that was hit was his boots and feet. Uncle Melvin`s war was over. Took 3 weeks till he well enough to
ship stateside. Was crippled the rest of his life. had to wear the shoes with the braces built to the knee.

Ever see the Movie "Hacksaw Ridge" ? His descriptions of the what he saw were far worse. My mother hated him for telling a group of cousins at 14 and 15 year old`s about his war time experiences.
We all ignored her when she complained about hearing the same story again.
