Tried to share a Ghost Recon Wildlands mission ARR with about 15 screens... can only do 5 screens, and weird attachment rules...please check or advise if I'm wrong... till then, I'll share em at MudSpikes.

many, like 20 or so...don't remember exactly.
but I think the size is too low, it wanted me to download to under 1 mb I think, or something like that.

1 MB per shot, not total, to be clear. To get the large image it needs to be hosted on photobucket or other service, linking with the usual img tags. Attaching in threads now shows as a list of thumbnails. I assumed this was to save on resources. It isn't too bad, but more attachments would be nice if 5 is the limit.

Thanks! I think most screenshots just need about 500KB.

Didn't want to start a new thread.

How do you add images into the new forum?

There's used to be a facility to upload an image, and then it would be displayed in the post.

I've tried inserting the image url which is hosted on google photos, but this also doesn't work

You can use the attachment manager, it's below the text box. It will show as thumbnails you click to open fully.
If you want to use the [img] tags to display a large image in the post, open an account on photobucket...free...and upload to your album on there. It can display the images tag link under each picture. Copy that and paste.
Don't try linking to pictures on other sites, that steals their bandwidth. Some will block it, some will replace the picture with a nasty note or image for doing so.

Thanks, I'll try the attachment option. I'm sure I'd used links to my Google photos album in the past, but now it just shows as a link and not the image. I don't really want to open a photo bucket account just to post an image.

Just an update on this. When you want to share an image from a google photos image, it generates a url. This url on it's own won't work, but there is a way to make it work.

On the image in your google photos album, right click on it and select copy image address. This will provide a url.

If you paste in the url, it should end with "no". You can then add ?.jpg to the end of the url, and it will display the image.

For example;

The url will look something like this (but probably a lot longer). I've put it in quotes to prevent it from creating a link.

"https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/H2hZN2Ssr2Z9sGvT7TFrAx7LzL5ewtyRs3EolwjMTDyX_Nm4lqJe-no"

To make it show the image in the forum post, add ?.jpg to the end, as follows;

"https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/H2hZN2Ssr2Z9sGvT7TFrAx7LzL5ewtyRs3EolwjMTDyX_Nm4lqJe-no?.jpg"

Then put this url in between [img] tags.

"[img]"https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/H2hZN2Ssr2Z9sGvT7TFrAx7LzL5ewtyRs3EolwjMTDyX_Nm4lqJe-no?.jpg"[/img]"

Use the attachment manager and attach your pics. Right click on the thumbnail and choose Copy Image Location. You can then past that URL between [IMG] tags or insert it with the Insert Image Link feature in the full editor. Look at this page from our EU IV thread for how it turns out.
