Thanks to Jel converting the aircraft folders, I now have Dunkirk Day 1 working in 160:

I can therefore start bringing the rest back to life.

Maybe Midway can be finished?

yep

Mogggy, did you get good color images of the US and IJN fleet carriers?

I found a bit of hard copy research about Midway that I did a few years ago. thumbsup

The intention is to get 160 versions of my ever lasting work in progress up and running, including the the new Midway version. I have got a fair amount of material on the fleets, and when last worked on the ships were coming along well:

Always loved the original "Main Body Sighted" addon.

Hi Moggy,

Looks good. As to Midway I have all the info needed on the real ships but my plan to modify the PAW models has ground to a halt. I appear to be missing certain of the tools required and I have been told that the existing EAW system probably cannot handle the changes needed though I do not really understand why that is. As it happens I have had other things on my mind for the last couple of months anyway so maybe one day I will find out how. In the meantime if you ever want any scale plans, colour scheme details etc for USN and IJN ships send me a mail/pm.

Look forward to seeing Dunkirk 2 as and when.

Pete

Just curios....
What tools are you lacking? Can't you get them from Jel?
Why can't the newer EAW version handle the changes you've made? I mean, is it just that EAW doesn't have the proper code or routine?

Hi Mark,

To be honest I cannot rememember the details as it was several months ago. The version of 3dz studio needed the files converted and the old picpac etc did not work on my Win 7 machine. As to the problem with EAW it was something that came up in a conversation with VonB and Col G and was frankly over my head. As I recall it was about the size of files and having to use multiple models to get round the limitation. Unfortunately due to an illness in my family I am too busy to bother about it for the forseeable future. I did ask Jel about the tools at the time but he had no suggestions.

Hey Peter,

First off sorry to hear about the illness in the family.

Okay I know what post your talking about now. Yeah its over my head too. There was mention of the RS Calc needing revision for larger 3DZ's or something or the other, but the source code wasn't given to Col. Gibbon, so it seems that's a loss.
