SimHQ should band together to start a crowd funding and create an Alien Zombie Dragon movie to start a new genera. I volunteer to direct. Now do we have any good script writers here on SimHQ?

Good script writers won't get films made.
Only formulaic ones make it now.
That said, this film proves something Hollywood doesn't want to accept. Most films are not of global interest. Only a small portion of Western audiences care for Bollywood films. Only a small portion of Chinese audiences care for Hollywood blockbusters.
Trying to make a film that will appeal to everyone is a fool's errand. It has been done, and it will be again, but it is the exception and not the rule. Define your audience and cater to it, don't go for that "5 to 95" age range as well as cultures and such.

The Jedi Master Except for low budget crowd funded ones like this theoretical SimHQ one would be. @ Falstar - I don't think I um..ahem meet the physical requirements for that job.

There is no acting required in those. There are a few lines recited I think, but they are purely formality.

"Caligula" has some good acting and dialogue in it. It even has Peter O'Toole, Helen Mirren and Malcolm McDowell!

Tony Scott's suicide seriously derailed that project.

The kicker is he'd been fighting cancer but the autopsy showed none detectable, it had gone into remission.
A real tragedy.

I think we can expect to see more and more movies out of Hollywood designed more for foreign audiences than us. I suspect this is one. The US isn't supporting it's own movies enough, it's the international audiences that make them work making sometimes.
Pacific Rim: Domestic Box Office $101,802,906 International Box Office $309,200,000 Worldwide Box Office $411,002,906
47 Ronin Domestic Box Office $38,362,475 International Box Office $113,354,340 Worldwide Box Office $151,716,815
No telling about disc sales.
Even the bombs like 47 Ronin at least ALMOST pay for themselves with the international income. Apparently it was 170 million to make. Imagine the loss if it was just a US release. That may explain the Godzilla and King Kong movies that we aren't too crazy about.
·Steam: Raw Kryptonite ·MWO & Elite Dangerous: Defcon Won ·Meager youtube channel·Intel i5-9600K ·EVGA GTX1070 FTW 8GB ·EVGA CLC 120 Cooler ·16 GB Patriot Memory VIPER 4 3000MHz ·GIGABYTE Z390 AORUS PRO WiFi Mobo · CORSAIR CARBIDE AIR 540 case ·BenQ BL3200PT monitor

@ Falstar - I don't think I um..ahem meet the physical requirements for that job. How does that saying go? Oh yeah,... 'It's a poor craftsman that blames his tool' he could be the taker and not the giver.
There was only 16 squadrons of RAF fighters that used 100 octane during the BoB. The Fw190A could not fly with the outer cannon removed. There was no Fw190A-8s flying with the JGs in 1945.

Pacific Rim: Domestic Box Office $101,802,906 International Box Office $309,200,000 Worldwide Box Office $411,002,906 I guess US audiences just weren't into a 2+ hour version of the Beastie Boys' "Intergalactic" video.
