So I just got my T16000 and all I can say is WTH?!

The buttons and programming are, again this is initial impressions, CRAP.

Why, why oh why, is the radar cursor 8-way a joystick? As in, an analog joystick not programmable as buttons? I'm an Eagle fanboi and when I saw what looked like an 8-way button right where the F-15's HOTAS radar cursor/designator hat is, I clicked BUY. When I saw how it isn't programmable as an 8-way switch, I started considering returning it.

I'm not going to go on.

Is this why people are not talking about this HOTAS?

T16000M FCS HOTAS target more at Space Sim (Kosmosimov) than for "F-15 sim" - for this Warthog fit better.

Is not for nothing that is "decorated" in that bright orange colors.

The "micro stick" (what you call "radar cursor") under left index finger is analog because in Space Sim is useful for "strafe" left/right, back and forth or up/down...

Anyway that "micro-stick" can be used for press keys - together with the "paddles" and even the twist rudder on grip (case use rudder pedals) through the keyboard emulation ("press joystick buttons to press keyboards keys to press commands in games") of that TARGET or the simple freeware (small/easy to use) Joy2Key, even in diagonals - if find use diagonals in "HAT" practical to use.

FCS is a ~130$ "Space HOTAS" not a ~450$ (plus the hidden cost of rudder pedals 90>550$)) "A/F-xy HOTAS".

BTW - Today "space sim" weight more on market than "modern jets sim".

OK.. Joy2Key is the $#&!!!

I had to create a profile in DCS World that nulled out the throttle index "joystick" but then the J2K worked its magic.

Will have to send ca$h his way.

I'm curious... did you look to see what TM's T.A.R.G.E.T. could do with that issue?

In the week I spent researching and reading the manuals and experimenting, I found nothing.

In the end this TARGET will do the same keyboard emulation that Joy2Key do - no better, no worse.
For simple things like this HAT to key press don't worth run a "Elephant" program in background, a "Mouse" do the job.
